Who is Gay Tony, anyway? Gay Tony (Tony Prince) appeared during the missions “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” and “Diamonds in the Rough” in previous GTA IV content. He operates Hercules and Maisonette 9, two nightclubs in lower Algonquin, Liberty City. By taking on the role of Luis Lopez – Gay Tony’s bodyguard – we’ll finally get an inside look at the luxurious nightlife of Liberty City.

GTA IV New Vehicles Mods
Posted by Realgamez.com in GTA News on 08 4th, 2009| | Comments Off

Rockstar Games is always a bit on the funny side when it comes to releasing their pride and joy Grand Theft Auto. Until recently, PlayStation had the GTA distribution market cornered, with the PC catching the year-later fallout. But now that Xbox and Nintendo—with their once-exclusive GTA Chinatown Wars—are in on the fun, the mystique and light-headedness from rarified air has passed.

Even still, that doesn’t mean that gamers aren’t going absolutely berserk trying to find downloadable modifications (mods) for GTA IV, the online version. Chinatown Wars debuted on DS and has headed over toward PSP, but for those of us who like screens bigger than soda can lids, IV online, and its new set of vehicle mods, is just what the doctor ordered.

Although there are many vehicle mods, only the top three are truly noteworthy. So, let’s start with something everyone will love to run down pedestrians with: the Lamborghini Gallordo LP560-4. Unlike previous versions of GTA, the Lamborghini is a perfect fit in Star Junction. It replaces the Infernus, and so far, it’s a top mod download. Ultra-fast, sleek and stylish, and well worth the wait – this is a great mod.

Next up we have the Audi R8 4.2 FSI. Another sports car, the Audi is something that every GTA fan can fall in love with. The mod is initially supposed to replace the Comet, but users have the chance to replace any car they want. You can get rid of those clunkers and add some flare to the game.

GTA IV might not have a quasi-Vegas that allows you to play when you’re bored (although, the darts, pool and ongoing missions are nothing to sneeze at). Heck, you can’t even jump out of planes and forget to open your chute like San Andreas. But with the 2009 Harley-Davidson VRSCF V-Rod Muscle mod, who needs planes!? The third and final noteworthy mod, the Harley-Davidson can replace other bikes in the game, or, if you like, other cars. It’s the game’s first true motorcycle.

There are plenty of other car mods to keep you busy, but these recently released three are the crème de la crème of IV online.

Grand Theft Auto on IPhone
Posted by Realgamez.com in GTA News on 07 9th, 2009| | Comments Off

Since the the game Payback was released onto IPhone there have been a wave of 3D crime RPG’s released and announced. Rockstars Grand Theft Auto seems to the the pinnacle of crime games. Gameloft’s recently announced Gangstar West Coast Hustle an open-world crime action game set much in the same mold as Rockstar’s infamous hijacking-happy series.

Gameloft have went for a game very close to GTA, as they have all of the following: Open mission structure, 3D environment, Radio Stations etc. etc. In actual fact, I personally think its GTA III on the Iphone, but its set in a fictional Los Angeles and not Libertay City!

Gangster West Coast Hustle is due to hit App Store this summer.

GTA: Chinatown Wars headed for PSP

The DS exclusive GTA game, Chinatown Wars, sold a pitiful amount on the DS at just 89,000. The game is no longer to be a DS exclusive and is making it’s way to Sony’s portable hand held, the PSP. Which is undoubtedly where it belongs. The game will be available on UMD for the PSP 1000, 2000, 3000 and as a downloadable title for the PSP GO! Not only that but, the game will also become available on the PSN store, which hopefully means it’ll become playable on the PS3, as it’s sure to be a huge hit for the PS3 as it will the PSP. The game is due for release in the fall.

Survey questions Karma likeability in GTA
Posted by Realgamez.com in Uncategorized on 05 7th, 2009| | Comments Off

gtakarma
A recent survey conducted by Play Insights asks survey participants what their thoughts are on a karma system being implemented into a GTA game. Karma systems have been used in other games such as Fable 2 and Fallout 3, but would it work for GTA? GTA is notoriously known for it’s crime missions and running old ladies and prostitutes over. The question asks participants to focus on whether it would benefit GTA not how it could be put into the game play. Considering the genre and plot of GTA, how it could be added into future games, could be difficult. Unless it was a “Really Bad” and “Bad” karma system. While in free roam the bad points could tally up, but the missions are sure to bring the really bad points up.

The full question is as follows:

Do you think Grand Theft Auto would benefit from having a “karma” system or “good” vs. “evil” actions mechanism that allowed you to choose your overall path by doing good or bad actions, where those actions have an accumulative impact on how the game unfolds? When answering, please consider the idea of being “good” or “evil” and NOT the particular execution / how this feature would be implemented.

With the answer choices being big improvement, minor improvement, neither better nor worse, slightly worse and a lot worse. How would you pick if you’d been sent this survey?

Nintendo DS Lite GTA China Wars Edition

To celebrate the release of the DS exclusive Grand Theft Auto game, China Wars, the Nintendo World Store at the launch gave away a limited edition DS. The limited edition DS features a GTA China Wars themed look as well as the two included styluses being chopstick shaped and also bearing the game’s name.

Unfortunately, the GTA China Wars DS was only available to those at the launch, however I’m sure some owners may well sell theirs on sites such as ebay or Craigs list.

Summary – Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Posted by Realgamez.com in GTA News on 02 5th, 2009| | Comments Off

san_andreas_431
If the beginning of the series were difficult with the first 2 components, Rockstar has simply created a genre that control throughout the final to win this time a success level with GTA 3 and Vice City,. GTA 3, which laid the foundations in Vice City who added the importance of the atmosphere. Today, forget the replica of Miami to run straight towards the sun of California, hidden under the name of a vast region: San Andreas. Not one but 3 cities filled with freeways, avenues, alleys steep but separated by areas of countryside off their roads and their brush. The first of these cities will be Los Santos, a Los Angeles copy. San Fierro is none other than San Francisco, with its hilly streets and blue houses. Finally you will find Las Venturas, aka Las Vegas, the city dotted with gambling casinos and surrounded by a desert used to deposit heavy corpses. It does not take long to understand in terms of environment, San Andreas exploded since the counters alone, the city of Los Santos is already as large as Vice City.
So after 80s gangsters, Rockstar is moving towards a world adapted to the new geography of the Californian gangster’s ghetto. Returning from Liberty City, the young black Carl Johnson, aka CJ, is in the dark trouble. But even worse, finding his band, CJ learns his mother’s death, murdered by a rival gang, began the reconquest the territory and the quest for revenge. Get ready to hear “Yo Bro” and “Wassup Nigga”, in turn, also including the classic “I want to ice those fools.” By not dwell on the history and the many characters in the game, but for simplicity, quality is always there with strong personalities and a doubling of undoubted excellence.
