Summary - Grand Theft Auto III

gta3

Even if you do not know anything in video games, you already have heard at least once in your life of GTA.

Remember a few years ago, this game chronicled by paying its irreverent and devoid of any morals. You play as a villain in the service of the local mafia and had to meet all kinds of missions by playing forces. You can even overwrite the past, which you reported the passage of many points. Well here comes the third part of this game. The concept has not changed. You are always a gangster in search of the smallest job, dishonest if possible. What has changed, however, is the mode of representation. But do not worry, the game has lost none of its original charm, quite the contrary. The great novelty of GTA 3 lies in its transition to 3D. In addition to the current graphics (I have nothing against 2D, do not tell me what I did not say), it also benefits from a much greater immersion in the heart of the action.
Compared to its two predecessors, GTA 3 is far more scripted and you will not have access to all the clans from the beginning of the game here. You must complete a number of jobs on behalf of a gang before they can access to the next. As against the order of tasks is not linear and you will always have the choice between several objectives, history not to take the lead for too long if you block at one place. In addition, the game is not over in this game. If you fail during a mission, you just have to go back to retry your sponsor for your chance. The objectives range from simple theft to the shooting in good and due form, through the whole bunch of daily activities of mafia members (trap cars, bring prostitutes to good friends, kill a person too embarrassing …).

Viral Infection Strikes Liberty City in GTA IV

When the Millionaires Club was launched, there were rumors of a “Viral Infection” Zombie feature that would arrive at the Rockstar Social Club in the future. Well, the “Viral Infection” is here and it’s available at the social club now. Get ready to see Zombies wearing yellow panties running around Liberty City!

Press release “Viral Infection” details from Rockstar:

There is a virus sweeping through Grand Theft Auto IV turning many unsuspecting players into Zombies. If you’ve seen the special Zombie-with-yellow-briefs player skin running around during Grand Theft Auto IV multiplayer, then you may already know that the virus can be contracted in any and all multiplayer modes and is spread when an unsuspecting player kills someone who has the infection (note that the infected don’t necessarily have to be wearing the Zombie skin, some show no symptoms!). The signs of infection are: access to the zombie skin and having the Achievement “Let Sleeping Rockstars Lie”. With the all-new Viral Infection feature at the Rockstar Social Club, members can now see whether they are currently infected, the number of total global infections and the number of infections in the last 24 hours. Digging deeper, Social Club members can also browse a color-coded world map tracking the spread of the infection worldwide, including breakdown for all 50 US States. New GTA 4 details for the PC version revealed

gtaivpc

It’s been a while since any PC version news has been released, the consoles already have their GTA IV fix so the PC is forgotten a little perhaps but, The Games Machine have found out a few more details as listed below to keep PC gamers drooling in anticipation for their Grand Theft Auto 4 experience:

  • The replay editor will record the last 30 seconds of gameplay. Once the video has been saved you can use inbuilt software in GTA 4 to add special effects and change camera angles. You will also be able to add audio tracks from the official soundtrack of the game (no word on whether you can use your own MP3’s). Once your video is done it can then be published on Rockstars Social Club site so others can watch it.
  • The GPS and map have been beefed up, thanks to the mouse it is now just point and click. However Rockstar have added the ability for you to mark locations, make notes and add images. That should make hunting those pesky pigeons a bit easier.
  • The other important bit of information is that Rockstar have managed to improve the game streaming, thanks to the power of the cpu in modern PC’s. This means less of the “same car syndrome” in which you would see lots of the same car you are driving. The magazine is also claiming that there will be more pedestrians and vehicles visible in the PC version.

Grand Theft Auto IV Slips from #1

After 5 weeks in a row, Grand Theft Auto 4 has moved down a rank, with the latest Indiana Jones game now moving up to position one for the Best-Selling Game. Indiana Jones is released on various consoles including the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS, no doubt GTA 4 will be back up there one day. :-)

Only 2,676 Claim Compensation over “Hot Coffee”

Only 2,676 people have came forward to join the lawsuit against Rockstar Games over their hidden sex scene they added into Grand Theft Auto San Andreas (the one before IV).

Head lawyer Seth R. Lesser. simple said “We can’t guess as to why now, several years later, people care or don’t care.”

The suit basically allowed anyone who found the “Hot Coffee” scene offensive or abusive compensation from anywhere in between $5 to $35.

The lawyers were originally hoping that Rockstar Games would have to pay over $1.3 million dollars in compensation, however according to the news reports it is only going to take around $30,000 to resolve the entire issue.

GTA4 inspires teens to commit crimes

    gta
Stephen Attard a 18 year old teenage was arrested and charged with first-grade robbery after police say that his fellow mates and himself went on a crime spree.

To cut a long story short, when the committed the crimes they basically wanted to emulate or copy Nico Bellic, the main character in Rockstars title Grand Theft Auto IV.

They did street robberies, attacked a man and stole his belongings, as well as creating human roadblocks and things similar.

Moral of the story: Make sure what happens in GTA, stays in GTA. :-P
